Originally formed in 2004, the CECN represented a merger of the computing networks of the Departments of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Geological & Mining Engineering & Sciences. The School of Technology joined the cluster in 2005. The CECN currently employs four full-time staff: - Scott Ackerman - Director

In addition, there are several student technical assistants and helpdesk staff. CECN users can contact us for support via phone, email, or by visiting the helpdesk. The CECN phone number is 487-1400. The old departmental addresses (geomaint, ece_support, and softsupport) can also still be used and will continue to be supported. Additionally walk-in support is available at the EIT Helpdesk in Dillman 207. Helpdesk consultants can assist users with basic computing problems and will forward issues to other staff as appropriate.
